The WA Electoral Commission (WAEC) will be conducting 15 extraordinary elections in 2024 for the following Local Governments:

Shire of Broome, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale (North Ward) | 29 January | 23 March |
Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley | 15 February | 12 April |
Elections will take place in March and April and are being held either because a sitting Council Member is departing, or due to an insufficient number of candidates contesting the ordinary Local Government elections in October 2023.
To vote, eligible community members must be on the electoral roll by the close of rolls deadline.
By participating in the extraordinary elections, community members can have their say on the issues that affect their local community.
