2019 #shoWcAse in Pixels Winners
The winners of #shoWcAse in Pixels art competition were announced at the afternoon session of the WA Local Government Convention 2019 on Friday, 9 August. The winners are:
- Junior Primary School: Shire of Ashburton
- Upper Primary School: Shire of Broomehill Tambellup
- Secondary School and OVERALL WINNER: Shire of Meekatharra
- Community/ Non-Professional – Shire of Corrigin
- Professional/Digital: City of Cockburn
High commendations were awarded to Shire of Kojonup and Shire of Denmark.
Congratulations to all the winners!
The judging panel includes Art Gallery WA CEO Colin Walker, Gallery 360 Art Director Miranda Smith, Screenwest Production Attraction and Services Coordinator Gabrielle Cole and The Aboriginal Art and Craft Gallery Kings Park Curator Judy Daly
They commented on the incredibly high quality of artworks, which effectively portrayed elements that were representative of each Council. It was a difficult and long process to select the winners as all the submissions were fantastic!
