Road Assets and Expenditure Report Data Dashboard
WALGA has prepared an interactive dashboard, which charts select data from the 2020-21 Road Assets and Expenditure Report.
The annual Local Government Road Asset and Expenditure Report provides a comprehensive analysis of the investment on WA roads.

The new interactive dashboard charts data on share of road types by length; source of roads funding; and type of expenditure. These three charts can be displayed by Local Government, by region, or as the average of all of Western Australia, the Metropolitan Region, or all regional areas.

It is intended that the dashboard will be progressively upgraded over time, adding new data sets and improved functionality. The dashboard can be accessed here.
For more information, email Policy Officer Transport and Roads, Sebastian Davies-Slate or call 9213 2050.

Detection of Declared Pest in Metro Region
A Polyphagus shot-hole borer (PSHB) has been detected on a residential property in East Fremantle. This is the first time that PSHB has been detected in Australia.
PSHB is considered both an agricultural and environmental pest affecting more than 400 plant species. Its establishment would have significant impact on amenity trees, native vegetation, and horticulture production (particularly avocado, citrus and stone fruit).

Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (DPIRD) issued a Quarantine Area Notice for parts of the suburbs of Fremantle, East Fremantle, North Fremantle, Palmyra and Bicton for six months to help contain the spread of the borer.

The Quarantine Area Notice specifies the area boundary and types of activities prohibited within the area.

Local Governments are encouraged to let their community members know about reporting any suspect PSHB activitty via the MyPestGuide Reporter app, or email the Pest and Disease Information Service or call 9368 3080.
The most up-to-date information on the detection, including the Quarantine Area Notice, map, fact sheets on identification and FAQs are available here.
