Changes Announced for Hotel Quarantine and NSW Exemption Criteria Eased
The Premier has announced changes to quarantine requirements for Victorians with exemptions to travel to Western Australia as a result of advice from the Western Australian Chief Medical Officer.
Effective Monday, 5 October, Victorians entering Western Australia will no longer need to quarantine in a hotel as long as they have an appropriate premises in which to quarantine safely for 14 days and download the new
G2G Now app.

The app will allow Police to check in remotely with those in quarantine. The G2G Now app can be found on the AppStore and Google Play.

People arriving from Victoria will be tested on arrival and on day 11 of their two week quarantine period.

Exemption criteria for New South Wales will also be relaxed in line with those for arrivals from other States (excluding Victoria) from 5 October. People arriving from NSW will need to present for a COVID-19 test on day 11 of their quarantine period.

All other border restrictions will remain in place.
